19-Day Zodiacal Ritual: Structure and Additional Watchtower Angels

Today is the final day of an updated 19-day ritual to commune with the zodiacal kings. This grew out of a desire to “redo” the 19-Day Watchtower ritual instructed by Ave (as, on reflection, I was unhappy with how well I did it in my earlier days of working Enochian), but the angels said not to. However, when I suggested a new 19-day ritual to incorporate the zodiacal kings (who were not part of the original 19-day ritual) and they said yes, and allowed me to also include the Watchtower angels and the Heptarchical angels. As it happened, this ritual was symmetrical about Easter Sunday (Roman calendar).

The angels assented to the following structure:

Preparatory work: Write a Book of Supplications (the last of the books that Dee & Kelley were have to created that I had not yet made). Essentially this was about writing prayers. I used 40 names of God and the number of letters totaled 241–but 243 (3^5) if you include the crosses, and wrote from the heart.

Days 1–4: Prayers (Friday through Monday). I prayed from both my own book of supplications as well as the Prayer of Enoch, three times a day (I also did what follows thrice daily as well).

Days 5–8 (Tuesday through Friday (which was Good Friday)). I used the called up the following angels:

  • Daily: King Carmara/Marmara & Prince Hagonel, in the name of Jaida (“Highest God” in Enochian).
  • Zodiacal kings Olpaged (Aries, Tuesday) through Zarnaah (Cancer, Friday), and their servient angels, in the name of Jaida & Marmara/Carmara.
  • Heptarchical kings/princes Babalel/Befafes (Tuesday) through Baligon/Bagenol (Friday), and associated Ministers and Governors, in the name of Carmara/Marmara & Jaida. Note that astrologically, this caused me to lose domicile rulership (i.e., Wednesday I called on Blisdon who is associated with Mercury, but Taurus is ruled by Venus), but that I maintained the dignity of the first decan of each sign (first decan of Aries = Mars, first decan of Taurus = Mercury, first decan of Gemini = Jupiter, etc.).
  • Watchtower Kings Bataivah (East/Fire, for Aries, on Tuesday), Iczhihal (North/Earth, for Taurus, Wednesday), Raagiosl (South/Air/Gemini, Thursday), & Edlparnaa (West/Water/Cancer, Friday), and their associated Elders on each day, in the names of ORO/IBAH/AOZPI, MOR/DIAL/HCTGA, MPH/ARSL/GAIOL, OIP/TEAA/PDOCE.

Days 9–12: (Saturday through Tuesday):

  • Daily: King Carmara/Marmara & Prince Hagonel.
  • Zodiacal kings Gebabal (Leo, Saturday) through Cadaamp (Scorpio, Tuesday)
  • Heptarchical kings/princes Bnapsen/Brorges (Saturday) though Babalel/Befafes (Tuesday)
  • Appropriate archangel for the day of the week, with Raphael used on Sunday (in Dee’s day he was associated with the sun, whereas now he’s associated with Mercury but the sefira of Tiphareth, which is ruled by the sun in correspondences).
  • Children of Light from the Sigillum Dei Aemeth: El, I, S, & E, through the name of their mother Galvah and, for the son of light (I) & son of son of light (E), in the name of Prince Hagonel, to whom these sons are servants, and each day’s children according to planet: IANA/DMAL/IZED/LIBA, etc.
  • Kerubs (East/Fire/Saturday through West/Water/Tuesday).
    • As I prepared this day, I wondered about the Five Princes of the Watchtowers in Kelley’s original vision. It seemed to me that, using the horizontal God names from the cavalry crosses, and the four names EXARP, HCOMA, NANTA, & BITOM, could make these. I went ahead and constructed them…only to be told by Carmara that they were…acceptable lol. After some back and forth, I was told that these were, in fact five Ambassadors: AMPPOHNA, RORAICAL, DTALIONO, ZIXAIMTA, & ABEMTAAI for East. The remaining were, for North: VPASABHI, NRTORIML, NANNBTOP, AXADIOCI, & XENNZMHZ; for South, AHMOONEA, ACOMLAXT, BOTEANAA, CMIBATRP, & OABBDAPA; and for West, ONAOSEBN, LAMBIXIR, ONOAOATZ, ATCVDRIF, & GAHAAPMM. These were called according to the same elemental order as in the previous four days.
    • The Princes, as they were shown to me, were from the RAAATORT, IPAMXADI, FODBOSML, DAIIOPIX (each taken from the corners of a quadrant-quadrant dyad by columns of the East Tablet, with two names each taking four letters from the cavalry crosses, and two names each taking two letters from the main horizontal cross of the three main Divine names, ORO, IBAH, & AOZPI). The highest prince over the other four, RAAMETODIH, taken from two letters from each of the four corners of the tablet overall, and the letters E & H from EXARP & HCOMA (interestingly, a 10-letter name, longer than the king, suggesting additional or unique power). I have yet to explore this deeply. The remaining sets of princes are, for North: BVAXOACZ, PSANAITZ, IMRIRAOR, IHLAISPM, & BVANAOATZP; for South, TADOMOLD, TOMBNAXA, SMIXXROH, RGDRILIL, & ETAMBHMOXA; and for West, DOAGPSCA, AOAAZNAM, VOGEOMZN, BPPEPAIM, & ADOAAPPSAM. These were also called according to the same elemental order as in the previous four days.Days

Days 13–16 (Wednesday through Saturday):

  • Daily: King Carmara & Prince Hagonel
  • Zodiacal Kings Zarzilg (Sagittarius) through Arfaolg (Pisces)
  • Untitled Watchtower angels of the sub-quadrants (e.g., of medicine, the four elements etc.): Fire, Earth, Air, & Water.
  • Children of light for the appropriate day of the week/planet (as above)
  • Appropriate archangel for the day of the week (using Michael for Wednesday due to his association with Mercury in Dee’s day–now he’s typically associated with the the sun but with the sefira of Hod, which is ruled by Mercury). After Friday (Haniel), I used Uriel for Saturday.
  • Angels of the circumference (Aaoth, Gethog, Innon); Saturday I did not call any (saving it for the last day of the ritual)
  • Thursday-Saturday: Ga, Za, & Vaa.
  • Saturday only: I called up two- and three-letter angels corresponding to the identical positions where Ga, Za & Vaa are located on the Earth & Water tablets, meaning 12 total angels were called.

Day 17 (Sunday): Murifri, Nalvage, Carmara, & Hagonel. Around this time I was guided to look at the capital letters of the Great Table; I noticed there are exactly 100, and was told to work on their arrangement into a 10×10 table, which appears below:

Enochian letters from the Great Table, arranged as follows:

Row 1: L (reversed) P (reversed but you can't see it because it's symmetrical) A (reversed) T Z S C O D L
Row 2: A (reversed) N (reversed) R (reversed) C A T T G A P
Row 3: L O (reversed) A (reversed) T S O V P O C
Row 4: T C T T C D V O O T
Row 5: Z I V T M T S M V V
Row 6: P N T A P M C G G O
Row 7: A O D N A P O G N A
Row 8: T S V Z G T S Z Z C
Row 9: A P O S P P T Z L O
Row 10: L R V O V D D A N L

My friend Cody P. mentioned upon seeing that this will be multiplied to angels.

Day 18 (Monday): GaZaVaa and the angels from corresponding locations: KePaLpa, PiLaNim, and OlAdAra. I was told to call these angels separately from the remaining angels (to be mentioned), so I did so. Galvah, Galethog, Murifri, Nalvage, & Carmara & Hagenol were also called, and I was told to call two remaining words as angels: VRVINVNEOCARNOGHCG…L (the L is to be pronounced after a pause), which is a very slight respelling of the name of the throne in Dean Hildebrandt’s work, and also PRONOALIOSMARNONPAL, a more recent word I received (note that both words are 19 letters long, and that these eight angels’ names are 80 letters in all). For these last 8 angels, I was told to call them forward and then scry the Aethyr of LIL, and then make my charge to them.

It should be noted that I asked one simple thing of these angels: “Walk closely with me, O wonderful [as needed, added “noble,” “right noble,” “honorable,” or “majestic”] angels of JAIDA. Let our psychic and heart connections be continuous and strong, and bring blessings to all Creation.

In LIL, I felt a strong energy about my crown chakra for two of the three callings I saw a golden, fractal pattern emerging out of what looked like a 3D, xyz-graph version of the the AGLA cross (which I’ve taken to include saying seven times as part of my activation of the furniture). On the last calling of that day, I saw all of the angels that I’d called (which, if you’ll recall, is in the hundreds of thousands because the zodiacal kings have that many across the various parts of the Earth and the Aethyrs). The angels “bound” themselves to this structure, as if they were a higher-dimensional beings who could assist with the building of this fractal structure. The structure itself, as it progressed, allowed for its entering into higher and higher dimensions, roughly to the sixth or seventh dimension, and that this is a structure for more direct divine intervention.

There was a big glow about this structure, and I got the sense that PRONOALIOSMARNONPAL was tilting this black abyssal disc (with some tentacle-like things–it reminded me of the symbiote in Spider-Man), which was dukkha. It seemed restrained by PRONOALIOSMARNONPAL, and with all the angels and the long-term work about my subtle body, it will take time, but the structure will help me play out a long and personal journey.

I saw a tether attached to myself and to the central 3D cross of the structure. I saw myself running out to the fixed stars (this is the idea of abstract pathworking related to the heart along with reaching ever-outward perspectives–note that one must return to the center/heart and ground, but nonetheless the journey continues), but also running about the sphere (which is to say, ultimately across all the fixed stars). The tether lit up various parts of the structure as it passed through it, almost laying the groundwork for the structure to become stronger and branch out more.

I saw Galvah approach in an idealized, classical winged human form, and very tall (perhaps 7.5 feet/2.29 meters). She gestured to a lot of Enochian letters in the sphere, which were “of the same spirit” as Amzes Naghezes Hardeh (Liber Loagaeth), but not quite the same. Nonetheless, these would fit about the 10-by-10 table above (I have included this in the overall set of Enochian tools), leading to the multiplying of angels’ names, and as one sphere is resolved, it would lead to a higher sphere of more letters, each taking progressively longer, until after a few thousand years, a 144 (plus) dimensional existence, which will be more or less the end. I was told to be prepared for a lot more angelic tables to come in, and to trust that it will happen in the appropriate time (acknowledging my householder responsibilities).

Last night, I saw the first four letters of the next table: B3IN.

Today I am to simply pray three times (as with each day of the ritual, dawn, noon, and dusk), which will conclude the ritual.

Astrological Remediation with Enochian

I wanted to present a quick general framework for remediating your astrological chart via Enochian magick. The idea is simple: there are 12 zodiacal kings:

Olpaged ♈️ (Aries)
Ziracah ♉️ (Taurus)
Hononol ♊️ (Gemini)
Zarnaah ♋️ (Cancer)
Gebabal ♌️ (Leo)
Zurchol ♍️ (Virgo)
Alpudus ♎️ (Libra)
Cadaamp ♏️ (Scorpio)
Zalzirg ♐️ (Sagittarius)
Lavavoth ♑️ (Capricorn)
Zinggen ♒️ (Aquarius)
Arfaolg ♓️ (Pisces).

When should you call a zodiacal king? I would suggest calling on him when his sign is the sign of the ascendant, ideally near 0°). Call on the zodiacal king over the sign giving you trouble (common “problematic” houses are the 12th or 6th house, so call the associated sign—I use whole-sign houses, so this is unambiguous for me), and ask for help.

There are also 7 kings and their associated princes. Since this ritual is about astrological remediation, I would suggest the princes, who are associated with the planets. Use the appropriate day & hour (e.g., Sunday in the hour of Venus for Prince Bornogo, who is of the sun), and use the further calls as discussed by Stenwick. Alternatively, consider calling on Prince Hagonel, who has authority over all of the princes, with no time restrictions. Ask for help with respect to that prince’s planet in your chart. It would also help if you asked for help in working in concert with them.

The question is, what Enochian call should you make? My suggestion is to make spoken calls 1 & 2, which, according to Stenwick, are the only calls needed to call on the Heptarchy. The zodiacal kings are indeed associated with the Aethyrs, but this seems less important to me for this ritual, because the opening calls will work for them as well and no Aethyrs are scried.

Good luck!

Observations on the Order of the Watchtower Gebofal Calls (Part 2): Updated!

Update 1: See text.

Update 2: I have added King Carmara & Prince Hagonel to those days in which multiple kings & at least one prince must be called, for they are the high king and prince, respectively. See my write-up of Day 36, coming shortly. This also leaves (heh) both King Carmara & Prince Hagonel called times each.

I think I have something of a scheme (subject to change) which explains the different order that I’ve observed with respect to these leaves. Today (Day 35/Leaf 15), the tablet activated was the Air tablet, and because it’s Saturday, it was King Bnapsen who I called. He said that there will be a reversing, several times, of the tablet order.

Yet I have also noted the following: most of the time, the Enochian calls (which, among other things, are associated with the leaves of Amzes Naghezes Hardeh (Liber Loagaeth) of gebofal) sometimes have large numbers (i.e., in the thousands) in them, and these are relatively close to the number of servient angels associated with zodiacal kings in the Aethyrs. Yet there are some calls which do not have them.

Thinking through both of these discrepancies, I had a tentative order to the remaining days’ workings; it was beautiful, it was, in King Bnapsen’s words, “clever,” but “wrong.” Rather than show the original, here’s what he hacked with me during today’s solar noon scrying. I’ll link to this after the fact.

The only thing I’ll note is that tomorrow, Sunday, I will actually call on Prince Bornogo (in addition to King Bobogel). Other days I’m either calling on only the king or a king and prince jointly. Saturn and the sun invert their associations for exaltation and fall, so there are two days when their influences are combined (“the last shall be first, and the first, last.“)

The second of these, the last elemental day (yet n.b. that two watchtower calls remain on Thursday & Friday, and Leaf 1 I will read on Saturday), falls on Wednesday, yet King Bnapsen associated it with the Sun and Saturn. When I call on Prince Brorges the Saturday prior, it is nonetheless during Mercury’s hour). Mercury is mercurial! By then, astrological Mercury will be in exact trine to Saturn, and the sun the sun is transiting will be ruled by Venus, who will be in Mercury’s sign of Gemini. Finally, the sephirothic & planetary switch between Raphael and Michael for Tiphareth, Hod, Mercury, and the sun seem somehow reconciled with Saturn in this plan.

In general, he says, this is tailored to me and my natal chart (King Bnapsen notes that my Mercury is in Aries, the sign of the sun’s exaltation), so your results may vary.

Finally, note that the tablet order changes from:

  • Water-Earth-Fire-Air (West-North-East-South, which suggests the night, a reversal of the day), to
  • Air/South-Water/West-Earth/North-Fire/East (shifting the order by a single tablet), then
  • Air/South-Water/West-Earth/North-Fire/East (again), and finally:
  • Fire-Water-Earth-Air, which, interestingly, has the “first and last” from the previous two rounds reversed.

Here’s the table:

How the Pieces of Enochian Fit Together, Part 1

This is a little trip into the various bits of Enochian—the Heptarchy, Liber Loagaeth, and the Watchtowers/Aethyrs (for the purposes of this post, I’ll use the angels’ characterization of the last as a single part of the system).

It occurred to me last night, as I was falling asleep (my hypnagogic mind is way smarter than this waking mind is), how very well these parts match up with the 360 degrees of a circle. Causabon’s relation has Gabriel describing an angel who “governeth Hyleich, which is the matter of the four Elements, and which onely is an Element” (this suggests the element spirit), the “Princes and Governours also of the 4 Elements…The angels also of the 48 angles of the heavens.” Angles indicates geometry, and is suggestive of astrology. “Forty-eight angles” suggested each angle was 7.5 degrees to Dee–360 degrees divided by 48, and, as Leitch assesses, likely an astrological inference, and rightly so.

Then it occurred to me that there is an interesting structure to the elemental Watchtowers: four kings, 24 ministers, 16 kerubs and 16 so-called “lesser” angels–60 in all. For each of the elements, this comes to 15 angels. I considered how these might be arranged: there are three signs for each of the four elements in astrology (twelve signs in all across the 360 degrees of the zodiac). Each sign thus has 30 degrees and in each element are 90 degrees in all. This matches well with the 15 angels; each angel can occupy two degrees per sign per element, and this twoness makes sense if one one considers the duality of sect (note also that the first two of the first 16 spoken Enochian calls reflect a duality in themselves: invocation and evocation).

Another thing occurred to me: the four watchtower tablets together have 156 letters (156 being closely associated with Babalon), yet the Great Table (the original or the Tabula Recensa) itself has 176 letters–if one counts the elemental names of God–EXARP, HCOMA, BITOM, NANTA–only once (each name is duplicated in a mirror image) in the Black Cross. Thus, we are four letters away from 180, and it occurred to me that PELE, the name on the ring “without which” the magician “shall do nothing,” is four letters–combining this with the Great Table thus creates 180 letters–which can also be considered to have a duality in the sense of sect, thus nicely totaling 360 to match the 360 degrees of the zodiacal circle (and circles in general). Note also that the arrangement of the four tablets–earth opposite air, and fire opposite water–matches the first two signs of the first half of the zodiac and the first two signs of the second half of the zodiac: Aries, Taurus, Libra, and Scorpio (this is the order they appear in the zodiac), which are ruled by Mars, Venus, Venus, and Mars, respectively. The order of these signs differs in the order of the Tabula Recensa, however: Aries (upper-left), Libra (upper-right), Scorpio (lower-right), and Taurus (lower-left). This further suggests a mirroring which differs from the mirroring of the Thema Mundi.

Yet I have been working with Liber Loagaeth, and this raises another question: if the Watchtower angels are called with calls 1-18 (2-19 if one considers the first call “unspoken”), and this matches Leaves 2-19, then what of the final 30 calls and final 30 leaves? Here, again, we have a nice overlay with the number of degrees of the zodiac; each Aethyr matches each degree of all 12 signs of the zodiac, and the most powerful Aethyr, LIL, matches the most powerful degree of each sign, the so-called anaretic degree. My experience with LIL was of a sphere, suggesting the realization, in three dimensions, of a circle. However, LIL relates to Kether (“Crown”) in the Kabbalah, not Chokmah (which is ruled by the zodiac); this understanding of the crown is the realization of the unity of space and time, and hints of the unified forces of the universe. Scrying the Aethyrs brings one into a realization of the fundamental unity of the forces of Binah/Babalon with Chokmah.

Naturally, the Zodiac has within it seven planets which rule the 12 signs of the zodiac, and the last of these planets, Saturn, is said to rule Binah. This brings us back to the Heptarchy, and the septenary nature of the Heptarchy and Loagaeth. The angelic kings, princes, and ministers of the Heptarchy occupy 343 (seven cubed) letters of the “Tabula bonorum angelorum invocationes,” which is seventeen less than the number of degrees of the zodiac. Considering A) the unspoken call as suggestive of the center of a circle, and B) the 1st and 2nd calls as being an artificial duality of i) interior and exterior, ii) invocation and evocation, iii) sephiroth and planetary rulers, iv) two circles allow for a third dimension for a sphere. Thus, the first nineteen initial calls can be conceptually reduced to seventeen, and the Heptarchical system can be numerically linked with the overall structure of the Watchtowers.

One thing I haven’t mentioned yet: Liber Loagaeth! After Leaf 1 (which is 4361 words followed by 9×49 cells of individual letters), each of the next 27 leaves (excluding the titles!) has 4802 letters (2401 per side), which, after subtracting a center letter in the middle on each side (see prior posts), comes to 4800, or 48 * 100, or 360 * 40/3. The next 20 leaves, excluding titles have half this number, 2401. The final leaf is five tables of 21 letters, or 105. Excluding Leaf 1, this gives us, excluding titles, 177779 letters (hm, a preponderance of the digit 7!). I went ahead and added up the number of letters across the titles: 1614 letters. Overall, this comes to 179393 letters, and this is a prime number(!). Leaf 1 has 10851 letters on side A (according to my excel document, which I have tweaked to account for punctuation, but may not have caught everything), which is a prime number. Leaf B has 7785+441=8226 letters. Unfortunately, this doesn’t add up to something useful yet, but I’ll keep looking. 🙂
